Ladies Aid

Ladies Aid was formed in the early 1950’s. Women of all ages are welcome to join them at their monthly meetings. They meet during the last Monday of the month, January through November (with the exception of holidays, which will be posted in the bulletin). Their meetings consist of a Bible devotion, minutes read from the previous meeting, business, special prayer requests and prayer. Fellowship and refreshments follow the meeting along with the Men’s Fellowship. The ladies have an annual bake sale in May at the Bloom’s house. This year, we are also going to do soup and hotdogs. We sell dish rags all year round. Every few years, we sell RADA cutlery and have our vegetable beef sale in October.

The Ladies Aid performs additional functions such as:
Organizes the Mother/Daughter banquet in May
Have a secret sister program
Our own prayer chain
Prepare and serve the Father/Son banquet
Prepare and serve funeral meals
Host the Roaring Spring Ladies Aid (once a year)
Have a Christmas banquet
Help out with preparing meals for the women of our church that has had surgery or babies
Help out with the spring cleaning of the church and picnic grounds
Ministering to Wesner’s Manor (along with the Men’s Fellowship)
The proceeds we receive is used to get love offerings for Wesner’s and others we see has a need, help with supplying the kitchens with needful items. Every other year, the ladies prepare the sunrise breakfast, collect shoeboxes for Samaritan’s Purse Shoebox Christmas and pay the shipping, keep a supply of newborn baby items for those in need at Nason hospital, help out with the funds for the kid’s camp in July, and have a card ministry.
