About Us:
Formed in the early 1950s, Ladies Aid welcomes women of all ages to join us in fellowship, faith, and service. We meet on the last Monday of each month from January to November (except holidays, as noted in the bulletin). Our meetings include:
- A Bible devotion
- Previous meeting minutes
- Business discussions
- Special prayer requests and group prayer
- Fellowship and refreshments (shared with the Men’s Fellowship)
Annual Events and Fundraisers:
Bake Sale (May): Held at the Bloom’s house, featuring baked goods, soup, and hotdogs.
Dish Rag Sales: Available year-round.
RADA Cutlery Sales: Offered every few years.
Vegetable Beef Sale (October)
Our Ministries:
Fellowship Events: Organize the Mother/Daughter and Father/Son banquets, Christmas banquet, and host the Roaring Spring Ladies Aid.
Outreach and Support:
Prayer Chain and Secret Sister program
Meal preparation for families after surgeries or childbirth
Providing meals for funerals
Ministering to Wesner’s Manor (with Men’s Fellowship)
Spring cleaning of the church and picnic grounds
Supporting Nason Hospital with newborn supplies
Helping fund the kids’ camp in July
Card ministry for encouragement
Special Projects:
Sunrise Breakfast (every other year)
Collecting and shipping Samaritan’s Purse Shoeboxes for Christmas
How We Give Back:
Proceeds from our activities support love offerings for Wesner’s Manor, church kitchen supplies, and other needs within the community.
